The Ripper Birch Deck from Powell-Peralta The Powell-Peralta Skull & Snake Birch Deck Decks are almost always made out of Canadian or North American maple wood, because the wood grows in a cold environment and has the perfect combination of flexibility and stability. That didn´t stop a few skate labels from experimenting, though, and that´s how the Ripper Birch deck was born! Birch wood is cheaper and usually used for boards that are supposed to be hung on the wall.This deck has a seven-ply birch construction and 8 x 32.125 inch dimensions. You can skate with it if you want, but watch out – birch wood isn´t stable like maple wood is! Go get ´em, tiger.
